It is still unclear what exactly happened, but tabloids The Daily Mail and TMZ.com, among others, have published some striking photos showing the American singer Britney Spears. Spears appears to be wearing little clothing, but has wrapped herself in a blanket and is holding a pillow.
The singer is said to have arrived at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening (local time) with her boyfriend Paul Soliz. There was said to have been a skirmish and someone then called the police. A woman matching Spears’ description allegedly harassed hotel employees and guests.

Officers reportedly went to the hotel, but saw no major problems and left the place again. That’s what the tabloids write. Spears then allegedly left with her security officers, without Soliz.

Britney Spears herself has already responded with a number of posts and videos on Instagram. She writes, among other things, that she “needs a new toothbrush”, that she “could use an espresso” and that she “has her rules” and is therefore a bit “bitchy”. She attributes the fact that the emergency services “illegally” descended on her hotel to a swollen ankle, which she also shows in a subsequent video.
The fact that photos of the incident were leaked is her mother’s fault, she says. “I know she was involved. “I haven’t spoken to her in six months and now she suddenly called me, just before the images leaked,” she writes. “I wish I had grandparents, I can’t stand her.”

The singer then shared another Instagram video, in which she – looking wild – dances in front of the camera. It is not clear when those images were recorded, although she does not appear to be suffering too much from her ankle in the images.
