Hypebeast: How did you get started in fashion design? What inspired you to start the EGO FETCH brand?

pH-1：I have had a strong interest in clothing since I was a child, and I also like shopping, trying on different types of clothes, and seeing how different clothes can change a person’s shape, figure, and even mood. Therefore, creating my own brand “EGO FETCH” is a very logical thing. Thanks to the amazing team behind the brand for helping me create a collection of designs that I actually love and wear every day.

What is the design philosophy of EGO FETCH? What message do you want to convey through your brand?

I usually prefer to keep a low profile when it comes to making music or dressing up. Because of this, I usually don’t like things that are too dramatic or flashy, and this personal tendency has also been translated into the brand philosophy of EGO FETCH. As you can see today, their designs are very simple and understated, yet show off high-end quality through detail and workmanship.

Is there any connection between your music and clothing design? How do they interact with each other?

I consider myself a balanced artist. Although I am a Hip-Hop musician, I often combine a lot of melody and harmony to express my understanding of “beautiful music”, and EGO FETCH is the same. I wanted to make clothes that had a streetwear look while still maintaining an elegant feel, which reflected my inner “beautiful design”.

What style of clothing do you personally like to wear?

In private, I usually wear more streetwear. Sometimes I prefer monochrome outfits, and sometimes I like to mix different colors. In short, I like to explore many different types of styles while maintaining a “low-key” premise.

We know that Korean brands are very popular now, besides EGO FETCH, do you have any recommendations for us?

I would like to recommend a brand called “REIKTUNE” to everyone. This is also a new clothing brand, but I see it has great potential. If you are a fan of Hip-Hop music, I think you will love its design. I believe this brand will grow to a large scale one day.

What is your opinion on the development trend and future direction of the current fashion market?

I think that clothes are becoming more and more fitted and shorter, and I think more brands may design and produce according to this trend. But the fashion market is constantly changing, and you never know what’s going to be trendy next. To some extent, fashion is a circle. Although it is beneficial and harmless to keep an eye on fashion trends, I think it is more important that everyone or every brand should maintain their own characteristics, rather than being constantly caught by current hot spots. affected by.

What are your plans and expectations for the future development of EGO FETCH? Will you consider expanding the brand’s product line or entering other fields?

Anything is possible for the future of EGO FETCH. For now, I want to try more pieces in different silhouettes, colors and maybe try to collaborate with graphic artists, musicians or other artists. I don’t want to do too many things at once, so for now, I want to focus on making high-quality clothing products.

We know that you are an “otaku”. Do you have any favorite movies, TV series and albums that you can recommend to everyone?

In fact, I am also looking for good movies and programs to watch recently. If you have good recommendations, you can comment and tell me! I’ve been spending a lot of time on the Nintendo Switch lately though, because I’m obsessed with playing Animal Crossing.

If your Chinese fans come to Korea to play, which shops, restaurants or cafes would you recommend them to go to?

I recommend you to go to “MeMeMi Garden” in Cheongdam, Seoul, I am a regular customer of this restaurant. Their interior decoration is very colorful, so you will see a lot of girls and celebrities here to take pictures. The food here is delicious, including desserts. I highly recommend you guys to go to this place.

You have released a collaborative single with Chinese musicians. Are there any other Chinese musicians you admire and look forward to collaborating with?

Actually, I’m not very familiar with many Chinese artists, but I know there are many talented musicians out there. I’m looking forward to collaborating with some great musicians, so get in touch! Let’s play together!

What are your favorite Chinese cities and Chinese food?

I love trying all the different types of food, but have to say my favorite is the Chengdu hot pot. During my world tour, I love hot pot so much that I would be looking for a good hot pot restaurant at least 2 days a week.

Your fans in China are looking forward to your new album or performing in China again, do you have any related plans to tell them?

I’m working really hard on a new album, so please be patient. This album will be more raw, so if you’re a fan of mainstream, soft, lounge music, perhaps you might be disappointed.
