ROME – An exceptional godmother for Eva al Volante 2022, the ASI event dedicated only to women scheduled from 11 to 13 March. It will be Prisca Taruffi, daughter of Piero – an unforgettable record holder, driver and designer – to represent this year the female public passionate about historic cars on the roads that connect Florence to Siena.
After all, its story speaks for itself. At nine he was already behind the wheel on dad Piero’s lap and at twenty-two he was making his debut on the Vallelunga circuit. “We announce it on a very special day like 8 March, Women’s Day – underlines Prisca Taruffi – and it will be a pleasure to live and share the love for the historic car with many people, but it is also an opportunity to turn on the engines thinking of the thousands of Ukrainian women who are suffering something unspeakable, unbearable and unfair. They are undergoing a war, they are leaving their country, their husbands and their loved ones. We have a duty to sensitize the whole world to this tragedy, providing all kinds of support, moral and material ”.
Each crew taking part in the demonstration will carry a message of solidarity towards Ukrainian women in their car, written in two languages.
Alongside Prisca Taruffi, aboard a 1954 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT, there will be Giada Michetti, National Secretary of the Italian Olympic and Azzurri Athletes Association and in the past at the top of the now legendary Bologna Motor Show.
