Actor and comedian Pedro Juan Texidor, known for his role as “Tato” on television, passed away today at the age of 72 after being hospitalized in the intensive care unit for several days. His friend and colleague, actress Yasmín Mejías, confirmed the news of his death.
Mejías took to social media to express her grief, describing Texidor as one of the most noble and honest men she had ever known. She wrote, “Texi, my beloved Texi, you left too soon.”
Texidor was best known for his role as “Tato el Gruero” in the show “Entering through the kitchen.” Recently, it was disclosed that he was in poor health, suffering from a respiratory tract condition.
In addition to his acting career, Texidor also participated in the musical version of “Entrando por la cocina” in 2023, produced by Luisito Vigoreaux for Happy Productions.
The entertainment industry also mourned the loss of percussionist José Manuel Hidalgo, also known as Mañengue, who passed away at the age of 79. His son, the musician Giovanni Hidalgo, is well-known in the music world.
