Greta Gerwig Completes Script Draft for “The Chronicles of Narnia” Sequel, Netflix Promises Epic Movie

On February 21st, “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig revealed that she has finished the draft of the script for the sequel to “The Chronicles of Narnia”. The highly anticipated sequel is said to be even more epic than expected, according to Netflix executives.

Gerwig disclosed to The Epoch Times that she is gearing up to write and direct at least two sequels to “The Chronicles of Narnia”. Prior to working on “Barbie”, Gerwig completed a draft of the script for the sequel, which is based on the original story by writer CS Lewis.

“I know that I have laid the foundation for ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ and hope to return to its embrace – this is probably my psychological plan for myself. Because I know that no matter what, for me, it was the right thing to keep making sequels. No matter what happens, good or bad, keep going. Someone gives you money to make a movie, which I never expected before,” Gerwig explained.

Gerwig expressed her admiration for the “extremely dreamy” quality of Lewis’s writings, which drew her to want to film “The Chronicles of Narnia”.

“It’s about British folklore and fairy tales, but it combines different traditional stories. When you are a child, you accept the whole plot – in the land of Narnia, there are children, elves, and then Santa Claus comes along. I love the contradictions in the world Lewis created, that’s what makes it fascinating,” Gerwig noted.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos commended Gerwig for her vision, stating, “Gerwig’s ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ movie will not deviate from the world in the audience’s mind, and will be more epic than the movie the audience imagined.”

Fans of “The Chronicles of Narnia” can look forward to an exciting sequel with Gerwig at the helm, promising to deliver a magical and captivating cinematic experience.
