We have to wait until February 7, but the new ‘Mean Girls’ film can already be seen in the United States. Lindsay Lohan also appears again in it.

The original Mean Girls dates back to 2004, in which Lindsay Lohan starred as Cady Heron. She will also appear in the new musical film of the same name, written by Tina Fey. Albeit not in her old role. For the short surprise cameo, Lohan was on set for about half a day. According to the American magazine Variety, she would have been compensated considerably for this: she would have received about 500,000 dollars (about 459,000 euros). (Read more below the photo)

In the new Mean Girls, Angourie Rice plays Cady Heron and the role of Regina George is for Renée Rapp, who takes over from Rachel McAdams. The film is already doing well at the American box office. Last weekend, it reached first place among films with a domestic gross of $33.2 million.
However, production house Paramount initially did not envisage a cinema release, but an exclusive launch on their streaming platform Paramount+. But test screenings showed that there was still an appetite to bring the film to theaters after all.(eadp)
