It is a mini road revolution that awaits motorists arriving in Domodossola this weekend. The Municipality has ordered it to guarantee the safety of the Christmas events organized in the city center.
The simultaneous development of the Christmas markets with the weekly market forced the municipal offices to transfer the latter from Piazza Mercato to Via Binda (one part), Piazza Cavour and Via Marconi. In this area last night the ban on parking with forced removal was also triggered. As this is the main access road for those arriving from Crevoladossola, for today, this traffic will be diverted to via Piave and via Vittorio Veneto and again along the innermost streets Scapaccino and Sant’Antonio.
Throughout the market area, today and tomorrow the transit ban will also be in force for residents. Access not allowed until the end of the cleaning work. The only exceptions will be police cars and emergency vehicles.

Also pay attention to changes related to parking in the city. The most important concerns the internal parking in via Cadorna. For today’s day, the reversal of the direction of travel to access it is foreseen. You can enter from via Carale di Masera with exit in via Cadorna. Not the other ! On the other hand, access to the Metropark remains regular when coming from via Veneto.
Those arriving from via Milano through piazza Cortesia will be invited to go north with the obligation to head towards via Giovanni XXIII.
Access to residents inside the Ztl is also banned tomorrow on the occasion of the second day of Christmas markets. All the access roads to the Borgo della Cultura have been cordoned off. They will remain so until the end of the event. The first of the two extraordinary pre-Christmas markets also returns tomorrow. The streets Rosmini, Garibaldi and part of Corso Fratelli di Dio are closed to traffic. Areas where tomorrow morning at 6 am the parking ban with forced removal will take place.
