NOW | The session in the Legislature of Córdoba was adjourned: The opposition did not come down to the premises and there was no quorum to debate

This Wednesday’s session in the Córdoba Legislature was adjourned as it did not have the necessary quorum to debate. The blocks that confirm the opposition group did not want to sit on their benches due to the fear that a draft project would be presented to modify the internal regulations of the Unicameral.

“This scandalous session fell! Today we managed to stop Llaryora’s authoritarianism in the Legislature. The arrogance and institutional abuse in Córdoba must end,” said legislator Gregorio Hernández Maqueda as soon as the presidential decision to suspend the debate was announced.

Rodrigo Agrelo described the alleged maneuver with the hastag AsíFromosa on his social network “The PJ and LLA plot a maneuver to abort the approval of the law that eliminates the toll at La Calera. They want to change the regulations to require 2/3 instead of an absolute majority (half + 1). The reason: the opposition is very close to gathering the votes for approval. #EstonoesFormosa,” he said.

According to the local resident, the intention of this internal change was to prevent the La Calera toll from not being voted on by an automatic majority and requiring 2/3 of those present. Something not accepted.

At 3:40 p.m., the body made the decision not to meet. The provincial ruling party directly accuses the opposition of the lack of dialogue.

The Spacessi project

Legislator Agustín Spacessi (La Libertad Avanza) promotes an initiative that modifies the internal regulations of the Unicameral. The central point of the libertarian proposal is that projects or resolutions can only be brought to the table if 2/3 of the votes are achieved. The project is functional for the PJ in the context of the clash of forces due to parity with the opposition. The libertarian, who in the main votes acts in tandem with the ruling party, based his proposal on the “excessive” and “often unjustified” use of the treatment

Spaccesi’s project contains a contradiction in itself. The initiative was going to take parliamentary status in this Wednesday’s session without going through commissions. Its author must request treatment on tables – which he complains about – to address the issue in plenary. In the hallways of the Unicameral it is said that there is a rush and support from the ruling party.
