At Rock Herk they have done everything they can to make the fortieth anniversary edition an unparalleled party. Now that the bill is being completed with top names such as Dave Clarke, Etienne de Crécy and Yard Act, this is certainly possible.

The organization has spared no expense to put together a dream poster for the fortieth edition of Rock Herk – which will take place on July 19 and 20. With lots of guitars, but also with electronics. With contemporary acts, but also with attention to the old musical DNA of the festival. Regarding the latter, it was previously announced that The Afghan Whigs and Therapy? – the top performers from the legendary 1993 edition – will be visiting again. And: Goose, Millionaire, Brutus, Whispering Sons, Raketkanon – the split band that reunites especially for Rock Herk – and many other bands. To complete the bill, Dave Clarke, the French trio Etienne de Crécy x Boombass (Cassius) x Falcon, the New Zealand Chaos in the CBD, Effy, Faisal, Goldfox, Ava Eva, Mosoo, the duo Chubby Analog x Milan Evens, Death Squad, Hotel Lux, Campus, Dad Magic and Yard Act added. On April 28, the British post-punk band Yard Act exploded a proverbial bomb at Les Nuits Botanique as the final part of their European tour. That bodes well for Rock Herk. Tickets are selling fast: almost 80 percent have already been sold, so be quick is the message. (jsm)
