Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary by sharing an unprecedented and moving image of their royal union. The black and white photograph, revealed on April 29, captures the beaming couple on their special day.
Middleton looked stunning wearing the Cartier Halo tiara of Queen Elizabeth II and a white V-neck dress with lace details by Alexander McQueen, while William donned the black Blues and Royals uniform for the ceremony.
The new image was taken by photographer Millie Pilkington, known for capturing portraits of King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the children of the royal couple.
However, this anniversary comes at a delicate moment for the family. In March, the princess announced through a video that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
“Postoperative tests following my abdominal surgery detected the presence of cancer,” she bravely shared. Despite this challenge, the news showcased the strength of their marriage, with William being a fundamental pillar of support for his wife during this difficult time.
“She is a very reliable and strong person. She does not feel isolated thanks to William, who is by her side,” said a close friend of the family, highlighting William’s unwavering support for his wife during her treatment.
Kate also expressed her gratitude for her husband’s support, stating, “He is a great source of comfort and security” throughout the treatment.
