Round Two Collaborates with Nostalgic Artist Shohei Ochiai for New Series Inspired by SW GAZELLE INDOOR

Round Two, the popular vintage shop chain managed by Sean Wotherspoon, has teamed up with renowned artist Shohei Ochiai to create a new joint series. Inspired by the SW GAZELLE INDOOR shoe model launched by Wotherspoon and adidas Originals, Ochiai has created a stunning 2D painting of the shoe along with posters, T-shirts, tote bags, pillow cases, key rings, and other items.

Wotherspoon shared his excitement about collaborating with Ochiai, stating, “I love his focus on 90s pop culture, which resonates with me. He creates depth and layering in his work that is truly incredible.” The two crossed paths through social media, with Wotherspoon reaching out to Ochiai as a fan of his work.

The decision to base the series on the SW GAZELLE INDOOR shoe was due to its intricate details and Ochiai’s desire to challenge himself. Ochiai praised the design of the shoe, particularly highlighting the white stitching that runs throughout the upper, which he finds reminiscent of the beauty of nature.

The new series will be available in limited quantities at 2G, an art toy and clothing store in PARCO Shibuya Shopping Center from March 1st to March 3rd. Some items will also be available for purchase online through GQ Japan. Be sure to keep an eye out for this unique collaboration between Round Two and Shohei Ochiai.
