Saluzzo did not make it. The jury of the Ministry of Culture listed the ten finalists among the 23 candidates for the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2024. Saluzzo is not on the list. Thus, after a year and a half of work, the dream of Saluzzo Monviso 2024 ends.
In the final are Ascoli Piceno, Chioggia, Grosseto, Mesagne, Pesaro, Sestri Levante with Tigullio, Syracuse, the Union of Municipalities Paestum-Alto Cilento, Viareggio and Vicenza.
The winner of the competition will be announced in March. The selected cities will be heard in a video conference on March 3 and 4 by the Jury chaired by Silvia Calandrelli who will then have to indicate to Minister Dario Franceschini the most suitable candidacy.
