Sofía Vergara Reveals Why She Chose Not to Have Children with Ex-Husband Joe Manganiello

Colombian actress and producer Sofía Vergara has opened up about her decision not to have children with her ex-husband Joe Manganiello. The couple, who were married for seven years, did not show any intention of expanding their family.

Sofía became a mother at a young age, giving birth to her son Manolo at just 19 years old. Now 32, Manolo is her only child, and the actress has not felt the desire to have another. When presented with the opportunity to marry her last husband, she declined, citing her role as a mother as a primary reason.

The actress explained to People magazine that she believes being a good mother requires sacrifice and energy, and she is content with having had Manolo at a young age. She also discussed the advancements in science that allow women to have children later in life, but she feels that there is a reason why nature intended for women to enter menopause around the age of 50.

Sofía, who was recently divorced from Joe Manganiello, also mentioned that her career demands a significant amount of her time, which further solidified her decision not to have more children. As an actress and executive producer on the Netflix miniseries “Griselda,” she feels that she would not be able to give 100% to both her career and motherhood.

The actress has recently confirmed her romance with the surgeon who operated on her knee and also reached an extrajudicial agreement with Griselda Blanco’s family after a series lawsuit. Sofía Vergara continues to prioritize her career and personal happiness as she navigates the complexities of motherhood and relationships.
