The 77th Cannes International Film Festival opens
Xinhua News Agency, Cannes, France, May 14 (Reporter Zhang Baihui) The 77th Cannes International Film Festival kicked off in Cannes, a metropolis in southern France, on the night of the 14th. The Chinese movie āThe Merry Generationā competed for the best award and greatest movie, the Palme dāOr.
A complete of twenty-two movies have been shortlisted for the primary competitors of this movie pageant to compete for the āPalme dāOrā.
