“Our heroines of the glass boxes,” is how the model and television presenter Gil Marie López named her twin daughters Catalina and Fernanda. Tonight, the co-host of Telemundo’s “Día a día” reappeared on social media to share good news with her followers. Likewise, López published the first photographs of the little girls.
“After 102 days in the NICU, Catalina and Fernanda managed to successfully complete their hospital stay. Almost four months, surrounded by hands sent by God (full of love) so that they could attend to each other’s medical needs. Every sacrifice was worth it and if we have always loved and put family as a priority, you can imagine how committed, grateful and in love we are with ours,” the communicator began.
López added that both girls are healthy. According to the writing, love was the key element in the entire process.
“Thanks to our Father, the princesses are healthy, they are well and they have been protected, loved and cared for since they began their process of coming into the world ahead of schedule. Love heals, love regenerates. Anyone who has gone through similar situations with their children knows what we are talking about. Every pregnancy is different, every baby is different and every situation is different. At least on our part we share with you that Catalina and Fernanda are a great testimony of life and they are ready to see the world holding our hands,” he continued.
The presenter, who is also the mother of Lorena, 16, promised that Fernanda and Catalina’s life will be full of “laughter, serenity, adventures and excessive love.”
“Because this is how only our family knows how to love… Soon we will formally present them to them with some beautiful photos just as they deserve. Thank you, always thank you! God bless you! Officially, the countdown to getting home has already begun,” he stated.
On February 1, the entertainer revealed that her long-awaited twins came into the world earlier than expected, at 28 weeks of gestation.
With a moving message through social networks, López shared the details of the birth of her daughters on December 22, 2023, after going through a high-risk pregnancy.
“They have been very, very difficult months. Our princesses had to be born at 28 weeks. Our life and our environment stopped from the moment we were told that our daughters might not make it to this world. We took a plane full of pain, uncertainty and hope, to exhaust all possibilities and fight for the lives of our girls. “We have lived these months in a hospital full of angels,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
