These peculiarities, the technologies of new materials such as the introduction of tynex and differentiated elasticity bristles, the expansion over time of the range with dental floss, interdental brushes and toothpastes, have allowed the brand to obtain and maintain a leading position to date. market is firmly established within the pharmacy channel with a market share (of adult manual toothbrushes) at a volume of 25.4% in 2020 ».

All while maintaining firm roots in the Italian territory: Tau-Marin is, in fact, designed and made entirely in Italy. «The pandemic has also had significant impacts on the oral hygiene market in pharmacies – continues the manager -; in particular compared to the previous year, the category of manual toothbrushes recorded a negative trend equal to -11% in value. This also had a negative impact on the sales of Tau-Marin which, despite recording a -4%, has nonetheless proved to be a strong brand while maintaining its solid position ».

And he continues: «Oral hygiene in pharmacies has particularly suffered from the covid emergency, also having a negative impact on the brand. The 2020 turnover therefore reflected the market trend.However, our programs did not stop, on the contrary we started the year by bringing innovation on the pharmacy market. A great novelty that is attracting a lot of interest from our pharmacist customers and that will help us reverse the course, marking a positive sign for this 2021: the toothbrush with antibacterial protection active on the entire surface of the toothbrush and capable of inhibiting the growth of different bacteria up to 99.9%, leaving zero residues in the mouth ».

The novelty responds to the priorities dictated by the pandemic in terms of greater personal hygiene and safety, guaranteeing one even more hygienic toothbrush. And it allows the brand to strengthen its presence in the pharmacy. “From a recent research that we conducted together with the AstraRicerche Institute with the auspicious title” Kiss me again “it emerged that Italians want to go back to kissing and that they consider oral hygiene one of the basic aspects for a sure smile – says Orsi -: 66% of Italians believe that for an unforgettable kiss you need a fresh and clean mouth ».
