The Rolling Stones Kick Off “Hackney Diamonds” Tour in Houston

Legendary rock band The Rolling Stones showed no signs of slowing down as they kicked off their latest tour, “Hackney Diamonds,” in Houston on Sunday night. Frontman Mick Jagger, 80, along with guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, proved that age is just a number as they delivered a vibrant two-hour show to a packed stadium at NRG Stadium.

Despite over 60 years of touring under their belts, The Stones displayed the energy and enthusiasm of a band performing for the first time. Fans were treated to a mix of new tracks from their latest album, “Hackney Diamonds,” as well as beloved classics like “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Start Me Up.”

The band, now consisting of the core trio of Jagger, Richards, and Wood following the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, was backed by a talented group of musicians who helped bring their iconic songs to life. The stage was set with an impressive array of video screens, but the focus remained firmly on the band and their music.

Before the concert, Jagger took some time to explore NASA’s Johnson Space Center, sharing photos on social media of his visit with astronauts inside Mission Control. The band’s production director, Dale Skjerseth, dispelled any rumors of retirement, stating that The Rolling Stones are still going strong and have no plans to call it quits.

With upcoming stops in cities like New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Vancouver, The Stones’ “Hackney Diamonds” tour is sure to be a memorable experience for fans old and new. Don’t miss the chance to see these rock legends in action as they continue to defy the passage of time with their electrifying performances.
