Costa Toscana, the new flagship of the fleet, protagonist of the “stage on the sea” in the last Sanremo Festival, is now at the center of another initiative, also in the Ligurian sea. Monday 28 February will host an event from the world of fashion and the cruise industry: the first parade on the sea dedicated to sustainability, against the unique backdrop of the Bay of Portofino.
Da Costa explains: «Jessica Minh Anh, the creator of the“ Fashion x Sustainability ”projects will transform Costa Toscana, a new cruise ship powered by liquefied natural gas, into a walkway in the middle of the sea. Against the cinematic backdrop of the Ligurian Riviera, the “J Spring Fashion Show 2022” will bring a message of sustainability and style, with a truly unique initiative in the world of fashion and the cruise industry ».
And again: «This special event will take place on board the Costa Toscana before its inaugural cruise, scheduled for March 5th from Savona. The ship, a real floating “smart city”, moored in front of Portofino. The participating brands, which will be unveiled in early February, will preview a combination of haute couture, ready-to-wear and creative accessories collections from five continents. Jessica’s previous shows were attended by Paul Costelloe, Montblanc, Yumi Katsura, Ziad Nakad, Shiatzy Chen and Tony Ward. The red-carpet will feature the best of Italian art, architecture, culture, luxury and delicacies, which will accompany the evocative fashion show ».
Prior to the pandemic, Jessica Minh Anh had organized the “Runway on the Runway” show at JFK International Airport in New York, where the supermodel turned entrepreneur had promoted the global sustainable supply chain.
