Today ends the penultimate weekend of the 48th Buenos Aires International Book Fair. Among the activities, today the presence of the journalist and writer Mariana Enríquez stands out, who will talk about her new book, “A sunny place for gloomy people.”

14:00: Materials Detectives: Playing with simulations that apply nuclear techniques. Can we know if a work of art was forged from the components of its paint? Or know what our great-great-grandmother’s pot is made of? In this workshop, we are going to play at being “materials detectives”, discover what some objects are made of, through virtual simulations, using real cases and research carried out, which allow us to interact with them as if they were the nuclear technology called Neutronic Activation . Benefits with the purchase of the ticket
Each visitor who purchases a ticket (for any day) or pass (for three visits) will receive a $4,000 checkbook to use at participating bookstores once the Fair ends. Each ticket will also be accompanied by discount vouchers that can be used to purchase books at the Fair stands. Tickets of $3,500 will have 3 $1,000 vouchers and one $500 voucher. Tickets of $5,000 and passes will have 5 $1,000 vouchers. Each voucher of $500 or $1,000 can be used to cover up to 10% of the payment on purchases of $10,000 or more. The vouchers are cumulative, for example: for the purchase of a $20,000 book, you can deduct $2,000 in two $1,000 vouchers.
IMPORTANT: If the ticket purchase is made online, the checkbook and discount vouchers are collected in person at the Fair, presenting the ticket purchased online at the counters in the Central Hall (Pavilion 9) or Blue Pavilion.
