Willy Chavarria Debuts “Safe From Harm” 2024 Autumn Winter Series at New York Fashion Week
Renowned New York designer Willy Chavarria, the winner of the CFDA 2023 Menswear Designer Award, unveiled his latest collection during New York Fashion Week. Titled “Safe From Harm,” the series takes inspiration from the stylish allure of the British upper class in the 1980s, incorporating patterns such as plaid and houndstooth, as well as expert tailoring.
The lineup for this season includes an array of pieces such as blazers, coats, leather jackets, hooded jackets, bomber jackets, knitwear, suit pants, jeans, sweatpants, and shorts. The standout piece of the collection is the 36th style blazer, which features a small plaid pattern in gray and black and is adorned with a giant rose flower on the left shoulder, giving it a sophisticated and avant-garde look. Another noteworthy item is the bomber jacket, characterized by its wide-shouldered silhouette and striking contrast of dark blue with gold detailing on the zipper and arms.
