Beer in the summer is a real pleasure, but unfortunately a very recent study reported on the Salvagente offered a really bad picture of the situation on this beloved drink.
The consumption of beer is always very strong because this product it’s really nice especially in summer.
Yet beer is not free from contamination and a recent study has offered a truly disheartening picture on the situation of beers.
The study found a worrying situation
Basically they have been thoroughly analyzed various brands of beer but what has emerged is very dangerous.
As many as 50 brands have been passed under the lens of research laboratories and even 12 were found to contain traces of glyphosate. Glyphosate is classified as probably carcinogenic by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. So we are talking about a substance that certainly should not be present in food. The fact is that this substance comes unfortunately used in agriculture and it can happen that it also ends up in food. Let’s see what they are the beer brands involved. And above all let’s see how these tests went.
It is a substance classified as potentially carcinogenic
The analyzes were performed by OkoTest. Overall, the quality of the beers examined was found high but the problem is the presence of the glyphosate. This substance was found in 12 out of 50 beers but the values found respect the maximum allowed in the EU for malting barley. So these beers are in compliance with the law but the problem is that glyphosate is probably thought to be carcinogenic. and therefore it should be avoided in any case.
Here are the beers in which glyphosate was found
German labs that analyzed the beers found glyphosate in one which is also very popular in Italy: Beck’s Pils. The other beers in which this substance has been found are known only to the most experienced and among these we have: Breznak Original Böhmisch Pils, Holsten Pilsener Premium, Jever Pilsener, König Pilsener, Krombacher Pils, Lübzer Pils Premium, Tyskie Gronie Pils, Kaiserkrone Pils. In any case, it should be stressed that all brands comply with current regulations.
