Adobe today announced new features for its digital video and audio applications to help creators create more personal and creative work. Premiere Pro has updated text and shape tools to improve performance and workflow, while new features in Adobe Character Animator help users design and animate puppets more easily and quickly.
In Premiere Pro’s new Text panel, speech-to-text and subtitles workflows are introduced for the first time. Editors can search through all subtitles and images in a sequence, perform global search, replace and spell check, and more easily correct spelling errors in hundreds of image sequences to save time on large projects.
The new Universal Text Engine makes it easy for producers to use multiple languages in the same video. In addition, creators can also control the production of subtitles in the Essential Graphics panel when dealing with subtitle scenes similar to Chinese right-to-left order.
New shape tools allow editors and creators to add polygons to images, with more precise control over polygon size, adding and adjusting rounded corners.
Animation helps increase audience engagement with video content, and the new Puppet Maker gives creators the tools they need to create and customize characters in Adobe Character Animator. In previous versions, users had to build puppets in Photoshop or Illustrator or use preset puppets in Character Animator, but now Puppet Maker allows users to freely design various styles of puppets from Character Animator.
After the puppet is created, creators can use a videoconferencing camera or any camera connected to a computer to animate the character with voice, facial expressions, and body movements. In addition, users can use the Puppet Maker innovative toolset to incorporate their animations into social media posts, or in videos of corporate presentations.
The latest version of Character Animator also provides animators with a new speech analysis-based lip-sync feature, allowing creators to create lip-synched characters using written scripts, subtitles, or subtitles generated through Premiere Pro’s speech-to-text feature. animation. This new feature currently only supports English.
The latest version of After Effects has added the new general text engine mentioned above, as well as the latest version of Cinema 4D Lite, which supports the full version of Maxon Cinema 4D R25.
