She is the younger sister. She and Giulia, together in almost all the photos. Chiara Tramontano, 27 years old, is the first to launch the appeal on social media to trace Giulia after her disappearance. A flyer that in just a few hours will fill almost all the social message boards in Italy. Chiara is now asking for a life sentence for Alessandro Impagnatiello, Giulia’s ex-boyfriend and self-confessed murderer. Giulia’s sister found herself face to face with Impagnatiello again for the first time. She looked at him for a long time, she often looked for his eyes, always lowered, in the emptiness of the cage. She got up and left the courtroom only when he took the floor for spontaneous declarations: “You can apologize if you accidentally hit the mirror of my car” she wrote in an Instagram story at the end of the hearing -. You cannot apologize if you poisoned and killed my sister and nephew, making fun of us and mocking her. You have no right to pronounce, invoke or think about Giulia and Thiago after killing them barbarically. You deserve to wake up every day in prison thinking about what you did and feeling disgusted with yourself.” Immediately after Chiara, her father Franco also abandoned his place and left the courtroom of the Assize Court.
Chiara Tramontano, like her sister Giulia, had left Sant’Antimo in the province of Naples – where the rest of the family continues to live – six years ago to move to Genoa. She had previously lived in Finland for a while. In fact, however, the two sisters who moved to the North had bonded their relationship even more. It is she who tried to help Giulia to abort her when the girl discovers her pregnancy but also the betrayals of her partner: «But, having passed the ninety-sixth day of pregnancy, it was not possible for her to have an abortion». It is always with her sister that Giulia confides in moments of crisis in her relationship with Alessandro Impagnatiello.
«Giulia reported that she would not have forgiven Alessandro but would return to Senago temporarily while waiting to find another housing solution or return home to her parents – Chiara Tramontano had recorded in front of the carabinieri -. From the beginning I never had a high regard for Alessandro, something which was also pointed out to Giulia.” The two sisters argue, because Chiara tells Giulia to leave the barman immediately. “We had an argument because she told me that, a few days later, she would go to Ibiza for a few days with Alessandro and I didn’t agree.” Even Giulia, in the end, is convinced to leave Impagnatiello. But she doesn’t make it in time.
