The process also began in the Vignola District, with the aim – during 2024 – of starting the experience in as many municipalities as possible. The gyms have just started in the Municipality of Vignola: the appointment is every Thursday, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, at the Centro Età Libera in via G. Ballestri 265.

The project is preparing to land in Spilamberto in the coming months: the first presentation to the public is scheduled for Wednesday 10 April, at 6 pm, at the Circolo Centro Cittadino in via Tacchini 15.
These meeting places, with free access, promote sociality and are spread throughout the provincial territory thanks to the lively collaboration of associations, municipal administrations and local health authorities.
The project is made possible by the many volunteers who carry out activities with the elderly after having attended a training course held by the Cognitive Disorders and Dementia Center which supervises each gym, always making itself available to manage any problems. The average age of the volunteers is 68 years, who with enthusiasm and commitment make themselves available to support the elderly and the ‘great’ elderly (aged from approximately 73 to 95 years) who frequent the gyms.
