Seville, March 18 (EFE).- After suffering three consecutive defeats, Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini has called for a reset as the team looks to amend its course in the final stretch of the league. The recent loss to Rayo Vallecano has left Betis in a state of dissatisfaction as they struggle to secure European qualification.
Eliminated from the Copa del Rey and European and Conference leagues, Betis now only has the goal of achieving European qualification for the fourth consecutive year. However, they currently sit in seventh place with 42 points, trailing behind Real Sociedad and Valencia.
Following the defeat against Rayo Vallecano, Pellegrini and key players such as Guido Rodríguez and Germán Pezzella have acknowledged the team’s poor performance and the need to improve. They stress the importance of changing attitude and showing more ambition in their upcoming matches.
Betis will now have a rest until their next match against Girona on March 31. Pellegrini will use this time to regroup and potentially welcome back injured players such as Isco Alarcón, Héctor Bellerín, Cédrick Bakambú, and Marc Bartra.
With only nine games left in the season, Betis will need to make significant improvements in order to achieve their goal of European qualification. The team is determined to turn their season around and finish strong in the remaining matches.
