Millions of women and girls who are starting to have an active sex life use it: for some it is simply a contraceptive but for others it is a therapy to treat particular pathologies. According to the European Atlas 2020 (which measured access to contraception in 45 countries of geographical Europe), the practice of hormonal contraception in Italy – which includes the pill, contraceptive patch, rings, medicated spirals – places us only in 26th position .
