Andrea Dovizioso Inaugurates New Fitness Service at Bologna Marconi Airport

Bologna, 26 February 2024 – After twenty-five years of career, former Ducati rider in MotoGP and 125cc world champion, Andrea Dovizioso knows firsthand the demands of constant travel. That’s why the news of a new gym at Bologna airport comes as a welcome convenience for the seasoned champion.

Starting today, guests of the Marconi business lounge, airport employees, and travelers passing through Bologna airport will have access to the gym where they can train and prepare for their journeys. Dovizioso, who has been awarded the plaque of honorary guest of the gym, sees this as a great opportunity to stay in shape and perform at his best on the track.

For those interested in accessing the gym, they can receive an access voucher when registering at the Marconi business lounge and purchase an entry pass for 15 euros. The gym, named Blq Fitness Lounge, is equipped with over 30 of Technogym’s most innovative machines, a training room, showers, lockers, and changing rooms, spread across 700 square meters on the second floor of the passenger terminal.

According to Stefano Gardini, director of non-aviation business at Marconi airport, this new fitness service is a one-of-a-kind offering for passengers who prioritize their physical and mental well-being, even while traveling for work. Enrico Manaresi, press director at Technogym, adds that the gym is located in the heart of the wellness valley and serves as the perfect place for travelers to focus on their health.

The Blq Fitness Lounge is open from Monday to Friday, with varying operating hours each day to accommodate the busy schedules of travelers. With this new facility, Bologna Marconi airport aims to provide a unique and valuable service to its passengers, including the opportunity to work out while waiting for their flights and be assisted by professional trainers.
