King Charles “doing very well” after cancer diagnosis, says Queen Camilla
Queen Camilla has spoken out about King Charles’ health after his recent cancer diagnosis, stating that he is “doing very well under the circumstances”. Her remarks came as she participated in her first public event at Salisbury Cathedral since the announcement of the sovereign’s illness.
“We are very touched by all the letters and messages we have received,” Queen Camilla added.
The Queen’s appearance at the cathedral was to take part in a musical evening and celebrate the work of local charities. Her serene presence and reassuring words undoubtedly send a positive message to the people of the United Kingdom as King Charles continues his treatment for an unspecified tumor.
Following his meeting with Prince Harry in London, who had come from the USA for a quick 24-hour visit to be by his father’s side, King Charles has moved to the Sandringham residence in Norfolk, England to rest. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla continues with her public commitments, with more events scheduled in the coming days.
The Mirror online has reported that the king is expected to return to London for “highly specialized” hospital treatment on an outpatient basis once a week, staying in the Clarence House residence and then returning to Sandringham.
