Can your computer be upgraded to Windows 11 22H2? One Trick Detection | XFastest News

Windows 11 22H2 will start rolling out in the fall of 2022 and is expected to offer plenty of improvements along with some new features.

While Windows 11 22H2 won’t actually change the hardware requirements, Microsoft has quietly enabled a registry that will allow you to check for compatibility with upcoming updates.

If it’s not compatible, you’ll be given a list of why, and Microsoft has links to support documentation for more information on compatibility issues.

Proceed as follows:

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor on your PC.

2. In the Registry Editor, click the address bar and delete the address.

4. To check compatibility with 22H2, open NI22H2 NI stands for “Nickel” and 22H2 stands for newer version.

5. If you double click on the value, you will notice “RedReason”. If the value is NONE, your device is ready for a feature update.

6. If you see other values, you will not be able to upgrade. This value depends on compatibility issues.

For example, if your device does not meet the hardware requirements, you will see “TPM UEFISecureBoot” in “RedReason”

Likewise, you can also find out if an update will be blocked by an app.

Also, there is a string called “SystemDriveTooFull” that tells you to upgrade the available storage space. If the value is 1, your device does not have enough storage space for 22H2 or later.
