Renowned cardiologist José María Cruz has officially assumed his role as a full academician of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Seville (Ramse), specializing in the Cardiology square. The induction ceremony took place in a public and extraordinary session on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the Ramón y Cajal hall of the Ramse.

Described as a national and international reference in the field of cardiology, Professor Cruz is hailed for his expertise in a wide range of cardiovascular conditions such as cholesterol management, hypertension, heart attacks, heart failure, and valvular heart disease. He has also made significant contributions to the field through his teaching, healthcare, and research activities at the University of Seville (US).
