Center managers address challenges in promoting emotional well-being in schools at a recent debate organized by EL MUNDO at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University. The presence of the Minister of Education highlighted the importance of focusing on the mental health of students in the wake of the pandemic.

Top schools in the Valencian Community, including More Camarena of Bétera, Ágora Lledó School from Castellón, CEU San Pablo from Moncada, and Newton College from Elche, were brought together for the debate. The Minister of Education, José Antonio Rovira, and the general director of Educational Innovation and Inclusion, Xaro Escrig, participated in the event.

During the discussion, Francisco Sanchez, the manager of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, emphasized the critical role of schools in shaping the socialization of children. Minister Rovira highlighted the pride of having four schools from the Valencian Community in EL MUNDO’s ranking of the 100 best schools in Spain.

The importance of addressing mental health issues among students was a key focus of the debate, with the Department of Education working on updating coexistence regulations and implementing prevention measures. The emphasis was placed on the need for schools to adapt to the evolving needs of students and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
