Chilean Air Force conducts Air Defence Exercise ADEX-VII
Fighter aircraft crews from the Chilean Air Force (FACh) are currently participating in the military exercise Air Defence Exercise, ADEX-VII. The aircraft involved in the exercise include F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-5 Tigre III, and A-29B Super Tucano.
Group commander Jorge Ramos of Aviation Group No. 3 stated in an institutional video that preparations for the exercise are now complete, coinciding with the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Chilean Air Force on March 21.
According to FACh’s social media, the training will continue until March 22 with the goal of enhancing the operational readiness of the crews. The exercise aims to train military aviators in various operations such as planning, execution, and control of operations against surface forces, offensive and defensive counter-air force operations, and airborne command and control operations in the jurisdictional area of the IInd Air Brigade.
ADEX allows the institution to measure its operational readiness and contributes to the improvement of instruction and training programs. Additionally, modern search, recognition, and data transfer equipment used during the exercise help test technology that can be utilized to aid citizens in emergency situations.
The participation of Chilean Air Force crews in ADEX-VII showcases their dedication to continuous training and readiness to protect the nation’s airspace.
