Green pass: prefecture of L’Aquila, from the weekend reinforced checks
On the planning of checks on the green pass, after the entry into force of decree law 172/2021, and the meeting with colleagues from Chieti, breaking latest news and Teramo, the prefect of L’Aquila Cinzia Torraco chaired a meeting of the Provincial Order Committee and public safety to guarantee a strengthening, starting this weekend, of the controls that will be tightened from 6 December, the day of entry into force of the measures of the decree law on the super green pass intended only for vaccinated and cured people. The Prefecture of the regional capital is working on the Action Plan on covid controls that will be prepared by the police, making use of local police personnel. Particular attention will be paid to devices dedicated to controls on users of local public transport, an aspect on which the Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese, announced a further convocation of the prefects of the regional capital cities before the decree came into force. Torraco hopes that the usual sense of responsibility that has always been highlighted by the population will allow families and economic operators to spend peaceful holidays.

Germany, the incidence of infections falls for the first time
The weekly incidence of new Covid cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Germany decreases, even if only by two decimal places, for the first time in three weeks, from 452.4 on Monday to 452.2 today: this is what emerges from the data of the Robert Koch Institut. Last month the weekly incidence of new infections was still at 153.7. Meanwhile, according to the organization that brings together the country’s accredited medical laboratories (ALM), 21.18% of the 1.83 million PCR tests carried out were positive, compared to 19.9% last week. In the past 24 hours, Germany recorded 45,753 infections, including 388 deaths. (

Austria, no vax “repeat offenders” risk up to 7,200 euros in fines
In Austria, on February 1st, the vaccination obligation will start and the unshakable no vaxes could risk a fine of 3,600 euros which could even be doubled in case of non-compliance. This is foreseen by a draft of the government which today is examining the bill for the introduction of the vaccination obligation. A measure, according to health minister Wolfgang Mueckstein, “without alternatives” given the low rate (about 70%) of vaccinated. The obligation should exclude elementary school children. EU affairs minister Karolina Edstadler specified that the amount of the fine has not yet been fixed. (
