Good news for patients admitted to residential facilities (Rsa) and hospitals on the island: the regional council has deliberate the guidelines for the management of personnel and for the access of patients’ families in all the structures of the hospital network and the territorial network, while maintaining high attention to the prevention and control of infection due to Covid-19.
On the visits of relatives to hospitalized loved ones and the relative difficulties of meeting started following the pandemic emergency due to the virus, several reports they have been raised several times by the Secretary of the Health Commission Carla Cuccu (Idea Sardinia). Today we see the publication of the official and uniform addresses of the aforementioned accesses for all the Rsa and hospital facilities, on which the regional health department, taking note of the day after day detection of data on infections, already from the month of April, at the end although of the emergency decreed by the Ministry of Health, it has been working.

“But today fortunately – continues the representative of the Giunta -, thanks primarily to the widespread and important anti-Covid vaccination campaign and subsequently to the evolution of scientific research also on drugs to fight the virus, such as Baricitinib and Sotrovimab, concurrently of the end of the emergency, it is possible to resume more moderate measures. Which does not mean they must be taken lightly because Covid-19 is still in circulation and even if the symptoms we are learning about often seem to reflect themselves similarly to those of the flu, more evident health problems can develop on the most fragile ones “.
“Starting from this premise – underlines the commissioner -, therefore in harmony with the recent decree law of 24 March 2022, n. 24 on the “urgent provisions for overcoming the measures to combat the spread of the epidemic from Covid-19, as a consequence of the cessation of the state of emergency”, and in particular referring to article 7 on the “gradual elimination of the reinforced green pass” , which also deals with the access of visitors to residential, social welfare, social health and hospice facilities and access to the inpatient departments of hospitals, the Department of Health has expressed itself by proposing to the Board to approve the new guidelines in this regard . “It is now up to all health structures belonging to the hospital network and the territorial network – concludes Nieddu – to implement the resolution on time, they are required to do so.
