Doctors’ Association, ‘health is a strategic priority for the State’ – Healthcare

Health is “strategic for our Republic” and is “defended by the skills of professionals and doctors” but today, after 45 years of the Health Service, “we still find ourselves with inequalities to be filled from North to South but also from the center and the periphery “, and the hope is that “we can move forward even further in guaranteeing equal access for everyone and in all facilities”. Ensuring equity represents “one of the essential principles of our national health system as well as universality”.

This is the message of the president of the National Federation of Orders of Surgeons and Dentists (Fnomceo), Filippo Anelli, in a video intervention on the occasion of the 76th World Health Day established in 1948 to underline the importance of the right to health . Individual right, Anelli underlines, but also an interest of the community.

And this “in an extraordinary way – says the Fnomceo president – was interpreted very well by the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, who invited us to open the parade on 2 June 2022 as a tangible sign not only of thanks towards all professionals for the effort made during Covid but above all to underline how strategic health is for the State today”.

“When the National Service shows a bit of trouble it is necessary to support it in the awareness that a system that takes care of the illness of the individual citizen represents today – concludes Anelli – the best tool for guaranteeing everyone’s health but also the best tool for allow all people on this planet of ours to be equal when it comes to health.”
