Franco Provera, the unforgotten general manager of the Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo, passed away at the age of 87, which have become a structure of international excellence thanks to his managerial qualities. Provera has favored the corporateization of the hospital, putting behind the bureaucratic legacy that characterized all Italian health structures.
Franco Provera also had another great dowry, that of recruiting excellences in the management of primary careers, also favoring the dialogue between the different departments, between medical and administrative management, with the birth of the new nursing figure, the head nurse of the department, with the ‘goal of removing those traditional conflicts between the medical and nursing world.
