They tracked him down Spain, thanks to a raid by the local police. They arrested him for a Rolex robbery, which was allegedly carried out on Iberian soil. Since last January 11th, Anthony Mucci he is locked up in a Spanish prison, accused of robbery, one of his specialties, according to what the Spanish investigators themselves claim. We are talking about a character on whom investigative attention has been concentrated since last August 31st, a fateful and cursed date for Neapolitan news.
Yes, because Anthony Mucci he is indicated as an accomplice of the minor he killed Giovanbattista Cutolo, at the end of an attack committed without any reason. Mucci, together with a friend, was in the pub in Piazza Municipio: he started a senseless argument, with chairs used as clubs and mayonnaise splashed on a group of friends who were lingering in the place a stone’s throw from the port of Naples. It is he again, together with an accomplice, who participates in the argument which has a dramatic epilogue. Do you remember how things happened? To defend a friend who was having the worst of it, Giovanbattista Cutolo tried to intervene, in an attempt to loosen the grip of the blows. The phase of greater violence seemed to be over, the aggression was over, when a minor took action. He was armed and until that moment had played no role in the display of muscular violence by his two friends. A camera frames it. He grabs the gun on his waist, points at the unarmed and defenseless 24-year-old and fires.
He shoots several times, including one shot from behind. Then he runs away and goes to play cards at his house. Two prosecutors are investigating this matter: the one for minors, who have requested the trial of the 17-year-old who shot; and the ordinary Prosecutor’s Office (the prosecutor at work Danilo De Simone), who works on the killer’s two accomplices in the fight that culminated in Giogiò’s murder. Months of investigation, when it turns out that Anthony Mucci he left his area of origin. Originally from the Spanish Quarter and at large during the investigation into the crime in Piazza Municipio, he had an easy time getting back to his usual life. Defended by the Neapolitan lawyer Leopoldo Perone, Mucci was arrested in Spain twenty days ago for a robbery that was allegedly committed in Spain. A trademark regarding some gangs of criminals originating from Montecalvario, often reported across half of Europe due to the history of stealing watches and jewelery in holiday destinations.
Meanwhile, we await the first hearing in the trial of the 17-year-old who killed the musician. It starts with an admission of guilt by the minor, who claimed that he did not want to kill Giogiò. Defended by the lawyer Davide Piccirillo, the 17-year-old is expected in court in mid-March, after the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office made a request for immediate trial (in light of the evidence). A request for an abbreviated procedure by the defender is probable, while the ordinary Prosecutor’s Office will have to dissolve the reservation regarding the position of the two attackers who triggered the attack against the rival group. One of which is restricted in Spain.
