Not long ago, Samsung announced its cooperation with iFixit to launch a service in the United States that allows users to self-repair and replace some parts. Google also released a similar service for Pixel phones. As well as a wider range of replaceable parts.

Google announced on its official blog last week that it will cooperate with iFixit to provide users with self-service repair services, and will provide all parts for users to replace by themselves. In addition to the Pixel 6 series sold on the market, it goes back to The Pixel 2, launched in 2017, will also cover future Pixel phones.
This service will be launched later this year, and can be ordered with iFixit’s repair tools, allowing personal repair studios or advanced mobile phone users to repair Pixel phones by themselves. The first wave of open countries are the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. As well as countries in Europe that sell Pixel phones, Google hopes to lower the threshold for mobile phone repairs to improve the sustainability of products and the environment, and will also cooperate with more third-party repair organizations to make repairing Pixel phones more convenient.
