Google’s Switch to Android app now supports all Android 12 devices

Google

Google finally launched the Switch to Android app in April to help iOS users jumping to Android. However, this app is only compatible with Pixel phones at the beginning, compared to Apple’s “Move to iOS” app with the same function, it can be applied to many fewer users. Now, Google has finally expanded Switch to Android support to all Android 12 devices, giving iOS users who prefer phones other than the Pixel one more reason to buy.

Its operation mode has basically not changed, first to connect the two mobile phones. The most convenient part of this part is probably the Lightning to USB-C charging cable, but if you really don’t have one, you can also use WiFi. Once connected, you can choose to transfer apps, contacts, photos, videos, music, text messages, etc., and then let the app handle it itself.

Taking modern people’s new mobile phones, the transfer of data and common services/apps is usually the most troublesome part, and it is also the main means for each system to tie users to their own platforms. Now that iOS and Android have the ability to convert with the corresponding system, in theory, it should allow users to choose more freely, but the substitutability and compatibility of apps will still be an important factor preventing users from easily switching jobs.
