Dominican singer Héctor Acosta “The bull” announced on Sunday that he will be taking a break from the music and political scenes to address health issues requiring immediate medical attention.
Acosta revealed that a swollen node was discovered on the right side of his neck on December 5, prompting further studies which determined the need for surgery on his tonsils and a biopsy to rule out any anomalies. Despite his discomfort, Acosta performed at the National Launch of the Municipal Campaign of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) at the Palacio de los Deportes, Virgilio Travieso Soto this morning, at the request of his friend, the mayor of La Vega, Kelvin Cruz.
However, Acosta expressed his commitment to taking better care of himself and prioritizing his health. He stated that he will not return to the stage until the doctors give him the green light, acknowledging that he needs the rest he has never had since starting his career in music.
The singer emphasized that the timeline for his return to the stage is uncertain and will depend on the results of his medical analysis. He requested understanding and support from his fans, the press, and the entire country as he takes the necessary steps to address his health issue.
Acosta concluded by expressing his faith and confidence that he will be accompanied by God throughout the process.
