In this excerpt from Apple’s WWDC, the explanation of an interesting function offered by the new macOS Monterey, the Apple operating system that will be available to everyone starting in autumn 2021. “Universal Control” allows you to use the mouse or trackpad of a Mac to move the cursor, and therefore also perform operations on the screens of other Apple devices nearby. In this case, for example, a convenient “drag and drop”: a file on an iPad ends up – passing through a MacBook – on the Final Cut timeline open on an iMac. The condition for this to happen is that iPad is also updated to the new iOS 15 operating system.
