From a symbol of degradation and abandonment, the former Delphinia will become a cutting-edge sports and multimedia center that extends over an area of 7 hectares, if we also take into account the grove already rearranged by the forestry police. Two children from the neighborhood participated in the laying of the foundation stone and, together with representatives of the police, left their hand print on the fresh concrete.
Immediately afterwards, the CEO of Sport and Health Diego Nepi Molineris illustrated to Undersecretary Fazzolari what the new sports center will be like.
“It is important to show that the State exists. But the even stronger signal of lethality that we are giving is that it is not worth challenging the Government, it is not worth challenging the State, because if someone believes they can intimidate the State, challenge the State , finds itself faced with a State that is even more determined to carry out the commitments it has made” said the Undersecretary Fazzolari.
“Not only have we respected the times but we have anticipated them. This center will be a national point of reference that we will deploy wherever the discomfort manifests itself” said the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi.
Therefore, having completed the first reclamation operation by the army, the Sport and Health men will now carry out the reconstruction which must be completed by the end of May to allow it to be used in June according to a precise timetable that has so far been punctually respected.
“Caivano can become a replicable model, we are carrying out some initiatives for the redevelopment of some areas throughout the national territory. It is our mission and we are proud to do it. We have made a commitment, that of delivering the sports center by end of spring or beginning of summer, it is a point of honor to respect this commitment. It is our obligation to redevelop it and we intend to do so in the times that the Prime Minister has indicated to us. We have called the entire project “Illumina “precisely because the idea is to bring light to places that are in the shade today” the words of president of Sport and Health, Marco Mezzaroma.
