In Mestre, a day of free screening for eye and heart health

“Sguardo d’interno” health village returns to promote eye and heart health

The traveling health initiative “Sguardo d’interno” is back again this year, with the goal of preventing eye and heart diseases. The health village, organized by District Rotary 2060, in collaboration with Fondazione Banca degli Occhi del Veneto, Amici del Cuore Terraferma Veneziana OdV and Cuore Amico Mirano, will be making stops in Mestre, Noale, and Mogliano Veneto throughout May.

The first event will take place on Saturday, 4th May in Mestre, where citizens can access free screenings for glaucoma and keratoconus at the ocular prevention camper of the Banca degli Occhi Foundation. Additionally, thanks to the Friends of the Heart, attendees can undergo cardiological screenings, including an electrocardiogram and measurements of blood sugar and cholesterol.

The health village will also be present in Noale on Sunday, 5th May and in Mogliano Veneto on Saturday, 11th May, offering the same screenings and health services to the community.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye and heart check-ups and to help individuals identify potential risk factors early on. Don’t miss the opportunity to take care of your health and visit the “Sguardo d’interno” health village in your area.
