Free Walking/Fitwalking Demonstration with Giorgio and Maurizio Damilano in Savigliano

Savigliano residents are in for a treat this weekend as a free walking/Fitwalking demonstration with Giorgio and Maurizio Damilano is set to take place on Saturday 18th May at Parco Graneris. The event promises to be a fun and informative opportunity for participants to learn more about the benefits of walking and staying active.

The event will kick off at 9:30 am near the “Vita Nova” bowling club in Viale del Sole, where attendees can gather information and gain insights into the discipline of walking. Following this, a walk along the park’s paths is scheduled for 10:30 am, offering participants a chance to put their newfound knowledge into practice.

For children aged 5 to 10 years old, there will be games and entertainment with Andrea Caponnetto starting at 10 am. The event aims to promote health and well-being for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Savigliano community.

The walking demonstration is part of the project “BenEssere in Cammino – Savigliano laboratory of good practices,” which is supported by the City of Savigliano, ASL CN1, FAND section of Savigliano Fossano Saluzzo, and the Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences of the University of Turin. The initiative is further backed by the Cassa di Risparmio di Savigliano Foundation and has the ambitious goal of encouraging an active lifestyle for all residents.

Research has shown the numerous health benefits of regular physical exercise, including the prevention of various illnesses such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, and osteoporosis. Walking, when done with vigor and proper posture, is a simple and accessible form of physical exercise that can be easily incorporated into one’s daily routine.

With no expensive equipment required, walking can be done in various locations such as public parks, cycle-pedal paths, and green areas.

So, put your best foot forward and join Giorgio and Maurizio Damilano for a day of fitness and fun at Parco Graneris this Saturday. Participation is free, and the benefits to your health and well-being are priceless. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to take a step towards a healthier lifestyle.
