Hamburg, May 7, 2024 – This year, more than 200 submissions from journalists, author teams and editorial teams were once again received for the Health Foundation’s Journalism Prize 2024. They could apply in a total of ten categories. Most submissions were in the newspaper category.

This time too, a wide range of media with a wide range of health journalism topics is represented – from large publishing houses to small editorial offices.
Expert jury reviews submissions
The expert jury is currently reviewing the 206 submissions and evaluating them to determine the best journalistic works for the list of nominees. After the foundation was reinforced by new expert jurors last year, there is a new addition this time too: Mareike Brockmann and Demian Frank are viewing the submitted TV contributions for the first time. Both work in the health sciences department at Fulda University.

Books: Julia Rondot (founder and managing director of medhochzwei Verlag)
Hörfunk:Dr. Peter Müller (journalist and former CEO of the Health Foundation)
Multimedia offers: Prof. Heinz Lohmann (health entrepreneur, TV presenter and columnist)
Newspapers: Elisabeth Schuster and Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. pole. Konrad Obermann (medical doctor and head of research at the Health Foundation)
Online Article: Tina Haase and Dr. Dennis Ballwieser (editor-in-chief of Wort & Bild Verlag)
Video posts: Theresa de Grahl and Jonas Gehrling (curemotion management)
Film & TV: Mareike Brockmann and Demian Frank (Fulda University)

With the Journalism Prize, the Health Foundation honors contributions every year that present health knowledge in an outstanding manner and make connections transparent. The next application phase begins in autumn 2024.
