Now the boy has crossed the 100 million followers wall. And he pursues, quickly, the top of the world ranking occupied – still firmly – by Charli D’amelio, American dancer and influencer who has 122 million followers on TikTok.

In Italy, Khaby Lame is also the most followed on Instagram, where Chiara Ferragni has now detached, in second place: Lame has about 33 million followers (in June 2021 it had about 25 million), Ferragni is still at 24.5 million.

Khaby Lame is 21 and has won over TikTok and Instagram users with a series of videos in which he doesn’t say a word. “The mute is a universal language – he explains – if you want to communicate with everyone you don’t have to talk”. The boy just needs a simple facial expression and a gesture made with his hand, which has now become popular, which means: “Here, you saw, it was that simple“.
Khaby Lame’s favorite targets, in fact, are often the most absurd tutorials circulating on the Internet. Or the senseless actions that suddenly go viral on social media: opening a can with a sharp device instead of using the special tab, for example. Or peel a banana with a series of surgical cuts, with the knife, instead of simply using your hands.
