Just when you thought “eFootball 2022” couldn’t help itWorseWhen it gets worse, it overthrows your imagination. After the game’s negative criticism and seemingly hollow release, the v1.0.0 content update, which is expected to bring a lot of content, has now been officially postponed… until the spring of 2022.

The update was originally scheduled to be released on November 11 next week, and will now be released on an unspecified date in the spring of 2022. As part of the announcement, Konami mentioned that they will provide refunds to any players who have purchased the “eFootball 2022 Premium Player Pack” earlier. The pack will be launched as part of the v1.0.0 update. It even mentioned that the Combination packs are no longer open for purchase.

As for the reason behind the delay, Konami stated, “We have been working towards releasing updates that bring new content to the game. This includes a new model where you can strengthen and play with the original team. There is a support function for mobile devices launched on November 11, 2021. Unfortunately, we have concluded that the team needs more time to deliver products that meet the quality expectations of our users and decided to postpone the delivery time.”

Starting today, the v0.9.1 update aimed at fixing “many” bugs and issues will be rolled out on all platforms, but considering that “eFootball 2022” is still the worst-rated game in Steam’s history, even though the release has passed more than one Not to mention the delay, whether the company can reverse people’s perceptions in a short period of time is hard to say.
