opens a second pavilion where general practitioners will vaccinate

by admin

The spaces for the administration of the anti Covid vaccine have doubled within the Faenza exhibition center. The municipal administration has in fact promoted the setting up of a second pavilion: it will be used, starting next week, by general practitioners of the city center, who will take turns in the new premises to vaccinate patients aged between 50 and 54 years old. Not only that: it can also be used by other entities that request it, such as private companies that want to manage the vaccinations of their employees.

At the launch of the new spaces, this afternoon, there were the president of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, the mayor of Faenza, Massimo Isola, the health director of the Ausl Romagna, Mattia Altini, the director of the District of Faenza, Donatina Cilla , and the general practitioners involved in the activity.

“In Emilia-Romagna we have now by now abundantly exceeded one million people who are completely immunized and we are approaching the goal of 3 million doses administered- Bonaccini said-. With the expected supplies, by the summer all the Emilia-Romagna who want it will be vaccinated. A goal made possible also thanks to the precious teamwork that is being done throughout the territory, which allows the full-speed operation of both the vaccination hubs and the small and medium-sized centers. Work that we touch here today with our hands. For this – adds the president – I still want to thank the mayors and municipal administrations, with whom we work in close contact, the Ausl, all health professionals, general practitioners and pharmacists for the role they have had and will continue to have in the treatment, prevention and fight against the virus. Without forgetting the commitment, on the vaccination front, of companies and trade associations, with the activity starting in Emilia-Romagna in these days “.

“It is a great satisfaction to receive President Bonaccini for the inauguration of the new vaccination area made available by the Municipality – declares the mayor Isola-. What we are inaugurating is a pavilion dedicated to the vaccination operations of general practitioners and employees of private companies, thus adding to the one already made available to the Ausl in the previous months. Faenza, which continues in its path of synthesis among the protagonists of the social and health system, was among the first cities in Italy to make public spaces available to deal with the health emergency: for screening with molecular swabs, for anti-flu vaccinations and for those anti-Covid “.

“This initiative represents the important relationship of collaboration and commitment of all the institutions and all the subjects in the field to deal with the pandemic – underlines Altini-. The active participation of general practitioners in the vaccination campaign throughout the Romagna area has always been high, and the inauguration of this new headquarters is proof of this too ”.

General practitioners, a new space to vaccinate

The general practitioners who will go to vaccinate inside the exhibition pavilion are in all 25: 20 belong to the NCP (Primary Care Unit) F3 of Faenza Centro (“Doctors in the Center” and “Caspita Faenza”), 5 to the NCP F2 . Bookings are collected directly from general practitioners with the usual channels (telephone, email), already used for the flu vaccination. Specifically, reservations flow into a single agenda, managed by the Nucleo coordinator, Dr. Luciano Biolchini. It will always be up to general practitioners to manage the administration of the second dose of vaccine.

From next week, therefore, the opening days of the new pavilion – from 8.30-19.30 – are Monday (with the doctors of “Medici in Centro”), Tuesday (“Medicina in Rete F2”), Wednesday (“Medici in Centro “), Thursday and Friday (with the doctors of the” Caspita Faenza “group). Access to the new pavilion, which is equipped with two “vaccination lines” (stations), takes place directly from the parking lot of the Fair, and is guided by special signs, with a separate path from the one that leads to the vaccination center of the Ausl (in the first exhibition hall). The shifts of doctors and the call of users are organized independently by the general practitioners themselves.

Faenza exhibition center, the first pavilion: an assessment

The first pavilion used as a vaccination center in Faenza, inside the Fair, has been operational since 18 February with the health workers of the Ausl; as of May 31, 20,387 vaccinations were carried out. Inside, four vaccine lines (stations) are active, 7 days a week, with an average number of 400 vaccine doses per day. The vaccination team is made up of an organizational contact from the nursing department, six nurses, three doctors, three administrators. Access regulation is supervised by voluntary associations coordinated by the Civil Protection.
