From the collaboration between Pininfarina and Namx – an Afro-European company which, thanks to green hydrogen, aims to reconcile human mobility and environmental protection – was born the first car in the world partially powered by a patented removable tank system. Baptized Huv, the car is obviously powered by a hydrogen fuel cell but – and this is the novelty – it has a fixed fuel tank and six removable capsules, which guarantee a total range of 800 kilometers. And it is precisely the use of capsules as secondary tanks that is the key innovation, which opens the door to the use of hydrogen for large-scale private vehicles, through a new and totally decentralized on-demand power distribution model.
The Huv will be marketed in two versions: a 300hp rear-wheel drive base, for a top speed limited to 200km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100km / h in 6.5 seconds and then a self-propelled GTH version. integral 550 hp, for a top speed limited to 250 km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. The HUV will be marketed starting in the last quarter of 2025, with a price range between 65,000 and 95,000 euros, depending on the options.
