Platinum Games ‘totally serious’ about revival of Dragon Scale Incarnate – Scalebound – Gamereactor

We only recently reported that Hideki Kamiya of Platinum Games shouted to Xbox executive Phil Spencer that he wanted to work together again. He was referring to “Dragon Scale Incarnation,” a game dominated by Kamiya that was unfortunately eventually cancelled.

It’s a strange thing to say in a public tweet, and when VGC had the opportunity to ask Kamiya if he was serious about his request, he replied:

“I think it’s really weird because honestly, I’ve had a lot of interviews since the project ended, and I think I’ve said a lot of times that I’m really happy to bring this project back. The project has made Progress, and as a creator, I want to see it come to an end. I hear fans say they really want to play that game, it’s a real shame, and when I hear them say that, I’m Hope to be able to hand over the game to them.”

Kamiya went on to explain that this is what he has wanted to do for a long time:

“That’s what I thought I’ve been saying, or I’ve been trying to say for years. I’ve said it before in interviews and got no response, but now it’s finally getting a big response, and I’m glad to see To this point. But no, it’s no joke: I mean it, really.”

It’s very uncertain if this will ever happen, and it’s going to take a long time to complete because all the old graphics are really old now. Still, it’s sure to be a PR win for Microsoft, and they certainly wouldn’t mind having an exclusive Japanese game.
